Biofix-NP
Our anatomically designed narrow profile plates reduce the need for intraoperative contouring and prevent soft tissue irritation from hardware prominence.- The tapered, bevelled plate ends facilitate minimally invasive insertion.
- A solid midsection provides the necessary strength to sustain the osteotomy gap.
- These plates are versatile, not side-specific, usable for both left and right tibias.
- Locking Head Screws offer angular stability.
- Spacers maintain a proper distance between the plate and periosteum, preserving vascularity and minimizing irritation.
- Variable angles allow for screw redirection without compromising locking performance—screws can be angled up to 15 degrees off-center.
- Screw holes are conveniently numbered from A to D proximally and 1 to 4 distally to the osteotomy.
- A 10-degree downslope in holes A/B/C ensures screws are directed distally from the joint.
- The BioFix™-NP system includes three plate types tailored for specific indications:
- High Tibial Osteotomy
- ACL Reconstruction with HTO
- Medial Meniscus Posterior Root Repair with HTO
- Hole D and Hole 1 offer variable angles across all three plates.
- Hole D accommodates a hinge compression cortex screw, which can later be replaced with a locking head screw at a different angle.
- The BioFix™-NP (Product Code# 10162) plate features an additional variable angle hole, B, to prevent tunnel collision between the ACL tibial tunnel and the screw.
- The BioFix™-NP (Product Code# 10163) plate offers additional variable angle holes, A and C, to prevent tunnel collision between the medial meniscus trans-tibial repair tunnel and the screw.
