Occipital System
The Occipital System consists of implants and instruments designed to optimize fixation to the occiput. The VERTAUX Occipital System is intended to provide stabilization and promote fusion of the occipital- cervical junction.
Product Features:
- Occipital plate is bead-blasted to minimize intra-operative slippage.
- The Occipital plate is also provided with bend grooves for an accurate and easy bending.
- Variable rod attachment body to allow for rotation and lateral/medial adjustment
- Pre-bend design allows the VERTAUX-Occipital pre bent rod to be more easily contoured to the patient’s specific anatomy, which helps to provide a more secure and precise fit.
- Vertaux Occipital System facilitate the universal connector that connects the cervical parts to the thoracic region for the better fixation.
Intended Use:
The VERTAUX Occipital is intended to provide stabilization to promote fusion of the cervical spine and occipito-cervical junction (Occiput-Th3) for the following indications: Indications Occipito-cervical and upper cervical spine instabilities:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Congenital anomalies
- Post-traumatic conditions
- Tumors
Infections Instabilities in the lower cervical and upper thoracic spine:
- Post-traumatic conditions
- Tumors
- Iatrogenic instabilities following laminectomy etc.
Degenerative and painful post-traumatic conditions in the lower cervical and upper thoracic spine.
Anterior cervical fusions requiring additional posterior stabilization.
